The club was founded in 1971 and is now the oldest youth football club in Woodley in it’s current form. Our ethos has always been about being inclusive and providing football for the children of Woodley in a fun environment. It has a rich heritage in Woodley, and is the club that players' parents, and uncles played for. That ethos has extended in the last couple of years, looking to assist young adults after their youth football days, with the establishment of two men's teams.
In total we have 300 members making up 23 teams. We have 2 adult team, and 21 junior/mini teams. The “Junior” members are our youth team players ranging from U5s mini kickers through to U18s. We do of course have a database of their parents accordingly who will age in ranges from 25 through to 60 and from the Reading area, and in the main Woodley and Earley and surrounding areas. Our home matches are played at a number of different venues including, Sol Joel Park in Earley, Goals in Woodley, Reading University Bulmurshe Pavillion and Woodford Park in Woodley.
In addition to players, we have 23 teams worth of managers/coaches of the same sort of demographics as parents.
On the 2nd April 2009 our application for Charter Standard was approved by the FA. By achieving Charter Standard status means we have been recognised for providing a safe and quality footballing environment which meets the requirements of the Governing Body.
